The assignment regarded the configuration of a green space at the elevated exterior spaces of the Golden Hall shopping center in Athens, without affecting neither the circulation nor the dining areas. The idea for the installation is that of a continuous ribbon of standard width that is folded to receive different kinds of activities or objects, such as seating or standing, or planted pots; it is an allusion to the delineation of the traditional Greek courtyard’s boundaries with pots and flowers. The metal ribbon unifies through its continuity the elevated courtyard and through its folds it creates spaces that receive the greenery, as well as places without specific use for the visitors of the shopping mall, who want to relax outside for a bit, in order to enjoy a cigarette or the view of the city.
