Description
The installation at the National Museum of Contemporary Art was realized in the context of the Alexandros Georgiou’s exhibition, entitled “Without my own vehicle I-V” and curated by Daphne Vitali. The exhibited works were supplemented by a video and a collection of books, references of the artist and material which he wanted the visitor to explore. The idea was the creation of a relaxing living room atmosphere in the middle of the exhibition, where the visitor could pause and look into the material. The living room was assembled from materials such as seats, big pillows and screens that already existed in the museum from previous exhibitions and the lighting was kept low, in order to accentuate the impression of a crypt, where the visitor could browse the references of the artist, losing track of time and space.
